Happy 6th Gotcha Day, Tylan!

Today is Tylan's 6th Gotcha Day! Since we have absolutely no idea when Tylan's birthday is, today is also the day we celebrate his birthday. He might be 9 years old. We really can't pinpoint an accurate age with him as his teeth were in such bad shape when they rescued him. 

In any case, Giovanni and I are THRILLED that Tylan chose me as his human and Carmine as his new brother back in 2018!

After Lita went to the Rainbow Bridge in 2018, I wanted to adopt another Siamese in her honor. I saw Tylan (then Brown Rice) online and knew he was coming home with me, even before I'd met him. Sometimes you just know.

Tylan never ceases to amaze me. 

He has been through so much. He lived on the street in Thailand. He was rescued by a woman, but she was a cat hoarder. I know she had good intentions, but she simply couldn't care for all the kitties she kept. Then Tylan was rescued by a local Denver rescue and flown to the United States. He had to have most of his teeth pulled before I even adopted him (he is now completely toothless). Tylan deals with several chronic health issues.

And yet.....

He is happy! He loves people and belly rubs and FOOD. He loved Carmine and he adores his baby brother, Giovanni. He is one of the sweetest cats I've ever known, and that amazes me after all that he's been through in his life. He is a precious and special soul. 

I can't wait to see what the next six years together will bring! I have no doubt that we will have many more adventures and that we'll make countless wonderful memories together.
