A Letter to Jewel on Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day

My dear Angel Jewel,

I cannot believe it's now been three years since we had to say good-bye to you on August 28, 2014.  Making that decision with you is still the hardest thing I've ever had to do.  I think of you and miss you every single day.  I wonder how you are doing at the Rainbow Bridge and hope and pray that you are happy there while you wait for us to join you someday.  

Even though I have not seen you at our new apartment, I'm pretty sure you know where we are and have visited us.  Carmine often goes into the "phone booth" to talk with you.  Did you tell him to become a little orange treat monster?  He has taken over your job of coming over and demanding treats from me (or D when he visits).  He has taken up talking much more than he ever used to, too.  When I come home from my church meeting on Tuesday nights, Carmine will yell at me until I give him another canned food snack.  I'm sure this makes you laugh as you watch from the Bridge.

A couple of weeks ago, I'm fairly certain you tried to hide Lita's Aerokat from me.  I had put it up on the bookshelf where Carmine and Lita can't access it, but in the morning, it was in the middle of the floor by the kitchen - nowhere near the bookshelf.  You sure did make me laugh with that little trick!  Thank you for putting the Aerokat in a place that wasn't too hard for me to find.  

I miss seeing you, though.  So, if you wouldn't mind, could you please come visit and let me see you again?  I want to make super sure you know where we moved to.
