We know Mondays are usually the day we give an update about ourselves. Lita had to go to the vet on Friday for a possible UTI, but they won't have her blood and urine test results back until today or tomorrow, so we will give you an update later this week.
Today we want to tell you about the Pet Naturals of Vermont Calming Cat Chews we had the opportunity to try in December as part of the Chewy.com Blogger Outreach Program.
As you may know, there are many situations that can stress out cats. Among them are veterinary visits, changes in routine, being boarded, visits to the groomer, having company over, parties, home renovation, fireworks, thunderstorms, and moving. The Pet Naturals of Vermont Calming Cat Chews provide a way for you to relieve your cat's anxiety in a chicken liver flavored treat.
The ingredients in Calming Cat Chews include: brewers yeast, canola oil, chicken liver flavor, citric acid, glycerin, mixed tocopherols, propionic acid, proprietary blend (maltodextrin, sodium alginate, and calcium sulfate), rosemary extract, silicon dioxide, soy lethicin, vegetable oil, and whey.
I liked the cute little fish shape the treats come in. But how did Carmine and Milita like them?
Carmine and Milita seem to agree that the treats taste good. They both licked the treats a lot. However, they seemed to have a little trouble eating them. I noticed the treats are harder in texture than the treats they normally eat, so this may have been the problem.
Nevertheless, they both do occasionally manage to eat them. I haven't tried them out before a vet visit, but I plan to in the future.
You can find Pet Naturals of Vermont Calming Cat Chews on Chewy.com right now for $2.59 for a 1.12-ounce (21 count) bag. All orders of $49 or more also include free shipping.
FTC Disclosure: We received a bag of Pet Naturals of Vermont Calming Cat Chews from Chewy.com for a fair and honest review. Receiving the treats did not influence my (or my cats') opinions. All opinions expressed on Fur Everywhere are my (and my cats') own.
Great review! I appreciate your honesty about the hardness of the treats. Most of my furbabies seem to prefer softer treats, so it's good to know beforehand. Purrs!
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time with dental chews another company makes and asked mom to quit buying them. So good to know which product is hard like that. Thank you both! Pretty babies that you are.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that the calming treats are harder than the normal treats too. I still eat them though.
ReplyDeleteWe have had those too and yes, they are a might difficult to chew!
ReplyDeleteThat was such a great review. We don't eat a lot of treats around here. But those sound pretty good.
ReplyDeleteThat was a good review. I prefer soft chewy treats, though I will sometimes eat crunchy ones.
ReplyDeleteTruffles was nuts about those chews...Mudpie, not so much.
ReplyDeleteWe've tried these treats. I liked them...Wally not so much. But we didn't find that they calmed us much.
ReplyDeleteNice review. My cats liked them, but had trouble chewing them too. I remember Stinky had licked and licked hers then swallowed it whole.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they liked them. I'm not fond of soft treats but TW says I need something to calm me.
