Before I started renting a room from Jewel's former owner, I'd come visit them. Once when I had a box of Triscuits, Jewel kept staring at me and begging for one. I didn't think she'd like them, but I offered her one anyway. She ate it! I laughed and thought she probably wouldn't eat another, so I offered her another one. She ate that one, too!
From that day on, whenever I had Triscuits, I would give her a couple. I know human food isn't all that great for cats, so I would only give her a couple each time, but it provided us a chance to bond, and I loved seeing her enjoy a little snack.
That is very sweet. Spooky comes running to me when he sees I have Smart Food so I give him 2 pieces.

I love Triscuits too! My cat, Miss Gitty, used to love french fries but ONLY with catsup! MOL!

ReplyDeleteThat is a sweet memory. I love hearing about the little things that bind a kitty and his or her person together. I usually have Greek yogurt every morning for my tummy. My Chase Bird, who is at the Bridge now, would come over to me, I would dip my pinky finger into the yogurt, and he would like it off. Our little routine. :-)

ReplyDeleteIt's so interesting what some cats are attracted to when it comes to human food. My first cat Feebee used to like to lick mustard off of lettuce pieces from my sandwich.

ReplyDeleteAw, how sweet! It's strange what things our cats will prove to like. My Evan begs for Ovaltine every time I drink it. And the other day, my girl Thimble started helping herself to, believe it or not, flour! She won't eat any cat treats I offer her, but she likes flour.
