Milita's Monday

Hi everyone, it's Milita today!

I will tell you what I have been up to, but first I want announce the lucky winners of our Lindy & Company treat giveaway.

 You may remember that Carmine told you about our trip to Dr. Stabby last week and how I had to go unexpectedly.  I was NOT happy about that!

Anyway, after the Mom found out that I had gained more weight, she and Dr. Stabby decided on a plan to cut my kibble down to (hopefully) help me lose a little weight or at the very least to keep me from gaining any more.  The Mom has been slowly starving me cutting my kibble down.  I LOVE kibble, and I am not at all pleased by this.

I have not had any coughing fits or wheezing for a couple of weeks now.  The Mom thinks maybe breaking the Prednisolone dose up into two doses (one in the morning and one at night) has helped.

Do you see me hanging out on the comfy fleece blankie the Mom won me at Festival of Felines?  I like it a lot!  Earlier, Carmine was laying on MY blankie, though, so you know what I did?  I jumped up onto my blankie and sat on him!  MOL.  That'll teach him to steal my blankie.

I heard that Carmine is going to see Dr. Stabby tomorrow.  I also heard the Mom say, "Maybe we should take Lita and get her weighed again."  Please tell the Mom that I do NOT need to go get weighed!

    Hi Milita,
    I'm very glad to hear that your Mom has got the dosage figured out and there's no coughing or wheezing. Why do they keep talking about our weight. Do we nag them about their weight?

    Is it possible the Prednisolone is causing the weight gain? Sounds like maybe you're finally feeling a little better!

    We're so glad that you haven't been wheezing or coughing! Kicking the kibble habit is tough stuff, but it's fattening stuff, and you want to be sure you keep your ladylike figure!

    Melissa is correct....Prednisonol causes an appetite increase (when Cody is on Pred I cut down his kibble and give it to him at different intervals throughout the day) because Pred makes them RAVENOUS. Weight gain on Pred is normal. I think Mom needs to calm down a bit about the weight.....just sayin.............

    We are thankful that Rumpy Bump only gets his steroid once every three days or there would be no living with him. When he feels better he is a bad kitty so being bad is good if that makes sense.
    Militia I think you could go for a simple weigh and keep Carmine company right? I know we all have a sing along when we do to the Stabby place together and that may be fun. Just watch Moms face MOL
