Whether you're a first-time cat owner or an experienced one, you'll find valuable information in this book. The book covers a variety of topics, including dental care, nutrition, litter box issues, household dangers, and tackling problem behaviors. Goodwin also provides great tips on bonding with your cat, interactive playtime, and medicating your kitty.
I love that Goodwin shares her personal experiences in this book and tells readers about things that have specifically worked for her. She also makes recommendations of products that have worked for her, which I appreciated. I found the section on nutrition especially helpful. Cat food labels can be quite confusing. A section on common toxins and poisons for cats as well as a catalog with resources you can check out for further information on topics covered in the book are also included.
Cat Skills is a well-researched book, offering cat owners a lot of practical advice. The book offers so many great cat care tips that I think it would be really awesome if shelters would give copies of the book away with cat adoptions.
Unlike a lot of other cat care books, this book has a conversational style. I felt like Goodwin was sitting down and talking to me while I read it.
I highly recommend Cat Skills: Loving Care for Cats to all cat owners. You will undoubtedly become an even better pet parent to your kitty by reading this book. You can purchase the book here on Amazon.
