As I mentioned in Wednesday's post, Eight Ways to Get Your Cat to Drink More Water, we are hosting a giveaway for a PetSafe Drinkwell Pagoda fountain today! Don't have a cat? This fountain is great for small dogs as well as cats! I'm really excited to be sharing this opportunity with you because we absolutely love our Pagoda fountain.

As many of you know, Carmine has Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD), and drinking enough water is essential to him staying healthy. Our Drinkwell Pagoda fountain has definitely encouraged him to drink more water than he ever drank from a bowl. I see him drinking from the fountain all the time. He loves to drink out of the top part of the fountain best. I believe it is easier on his arthritic joints to drink from the top, but for kitties who like to lay down or sit while drinking, the Pagoda has a nice bottom section to drink from, too.

This fountain has several features both Carmine and I love.

A ceramic design that's hygienic and easy to clean. Even thought this fountain has a few more components than the other fountain we have in our apartment, the Pagoda is the easiest fountain for me to clean, and that's something I really appreciate.
Patented dual free-falling streams aerate the water for freshness, which encourages your cat (or dog) to drink more water.
An upper and lower dish from which your cat (or dog) can drink.
The Pagoda fountain continuously recirculates 70 ounces of fresh filtered water.
A low-voltage 12V system with a submersible pump for quiet and safe operation. I love that I don't hear the motor in this fountain the way I do with our other one. All I hear from the Pagoda is the sound of flowing water, which is quite relaxing.
The fountain is stylish and comes in White, Taupe, Red, and Himalayan Blue.

We've had our Drinkwell Pagoda fountain for approximately a year now, and it works as well today as it did when we first received it.
