Jewel's Journey

Ever since Jewel left us seven months ago, I'd wanted to find a piece of memorial jewelry to wear in her honor.  I found a lot of beautiful generic pieces with nice quotes on them, but I wanted something personal.  The generic pieces were lovely, but Jewel was so special, and I wanted whatever I got to be special, too.  I also found a lot of tiny urns and know that some people make jewelry with a pet's ashes infused into it.  But I knew that carrying around any part of Jewel besides her spirit would simply make me too sad!  So I steered clear of these pieces.

When I found a memorial necklace you could personalize on Zazzle, I knew that this was it.  After months of searching, I found the piece I wanted.  I made the decision to get it as a birthday present to myself.

At long last, here it is!


I am very pleased with it!  I wondered how the photo would turn out, and they did a beautiful job.  If you aren't able to read it, it says, "Always in My Heart," above Jewel's photo, and "JEWEL," under her photo.

    The necklace turned out beautiful. I'm glad you were able to find something that really captured the way you feel. I think that even a few years from now you will be able to look at that and remember the good times.
