Last week, I went to the Santa Paws festival at Cat Care Society and had a wonderful time! However, while I was there, I received some sad news regarding a couple of our dear Cat Care Society friends.
Twinkie had to be helped to the Rainbow Bridge. Twinkie was a very sweet mancat who loved affection. Once, I was petting him while he was laying on the front counter. He was so happy that, when I turned to go talk to another kitty, he waved his paw at me to come back! Of course I went back. Who could resist this sweet baby?
I loved Twinkie a lot, and I am sad that he had to leave us so soon.
Brietta also had to be helped to the Rainbow Bridge. I didn't know Brietta quite as well as I knew Twinkie, but I do know that Brietta was a very sweet kitty who loved being petted. I could often find her hanging out in one of the front offices. We always enjoyed our visits together.
Although neither Twinkie nor Brietta found their forever homes before they went over the Rainbow Bridge, they were loved by so many people.
I hope you are both happy at the Rainbow Bridge until we can all meet again someday. Run free, dear friends.
Sorry to hear about these kitties! *hugs* I'm sure their lives were brighter because they got to meet you and the great people at Cat Care. Thank you for loving them.
ReplyDeleteI am always sad when a cat at a rescue dies before finding a home. Although you are right, at least they are loved by lots and lots of humans. Purrs to all of those, and you, who loved these two kitties.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your two little friends at the Cat Care facility going over the Bridge before getting a forever home but we think maybe they knew what love was because of all the kind people taking care of them. Now they are running free......
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy
It is always so sad when kitties have to go to the bridge. Bet they got lots of love there at the clinic. Have a great Monday.
ReplyDeleteWe are sure Twinkie and Brietta enjoyed the love they received from those who helped and worked at Cat Care. Our sympathy for the loss of your friends.
ReplyDeleteWe're so sorry to hear about Twinkle and Brietta. Purrs...
ReplyDeleteSo sad, but at least they were loved. So many cats never even get to know what that is like.
ReplyDeletewe are glad they were safe and loved.....
ReplyDeleteBein' loved is what matters most. Bein' loved and KNOWIN' that you're loved. Twinkle and Brietta both had that so even without 'forever' homes, they had their family right there, complete with loved ones.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Nissy
That is so sad but at least they had some love in their lives.

ReplyDeleteOh we're so very sorry to hear about these sweetie. It is so sad when a kitty goes to the bridge before he or she finds a forever home. We're very happy though that they had the love of the wonderful shelter volunteers... and you. xo
