Hi everyone, Carmine here. The Mom thinks mes ams depressed. What do you think?
The Mom is worried that mes is spending so much time in this cube where Jewel spent so much of her time. The Mom is happy that mes came around a bit more today, though, and socialized in the living room some.
Mes eyes are also a bit weepy still, so the Mom says hers is going to call Dr. Stabby to see if hers wants to give mes a new eye drop or ointment. Me ams okay with that - as long as there are NO trips to the Stabby Place involved for mes!
The Mom here. I want to thank everyone who's been giving me ideas on how to make Carmine's life happy again.
He's been isolating for a few weeks now, and it's hard to tell if he's depressed, if his eyes are still bugging him (though they look a lot better than they did), or if it's a combination of things.
We appreciate everyone who is sending our sweet Carmine purrs, prayers, hugs, and love.
Carmine, we hope you are feeling better really soon. We sure send tons of purrs.Take care.
ReplyDeleteCarmine, we hope you feel better and get back to more of your normal self. Purrs.
ReplyDeleteWe hope you're feeling better soon. When Angel Tamir went to the Bridge Allie went into a depression too. It took tons of extra love and attention, but she did work out of it eventually.

It takes time to get over a great loss. Sometimes, lots of time. I bet that once your eye is all better, you'll start feelin' better in other ways, too. In the meantime, we're all purrin' for you. We're all purrin' for you, a lot.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Nissy
We are sure sending tons of purrs and prayers to you dear Carmine. You tell Mom what you need and she will get it for you.
ReplyDeletePurrrrrrrrrrrrsssss!
ReplyDeleteOh Carmine, we understand if you might be feeling sad, but hope that staying in Jewel's cube gives you comfort. Maybe Mom can hang out with you while she has her morning coffee or tea and you can both talk about Jewel - about missing her and about the neat things that she did, maybe even some funny stuff too. Sending purrs and good thoughts to you and your Mom.
ReplyDeleteWe thinks this is a wonderful idea <3
DeleteIf anything, I think Carmine might like the extra "Carmine time" (although I'm sure he gets alot already). We all know that losing a good friend is very hard.
DeleteIt could be a combination of things - if he is depressed, it could weaken his immune system. Purrs to you, Carmine!

Harp music is very pretty! I hadn't thought of that. I'll see what I can dig up for Carmine. Thank you for the idea!
DeleteLoving purrs to Carmine. You have lots of good tips and I bet it won't be long before things shift. Btw, you are entered in our book giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI am sending purrs that you soon feel happier. I got very depressed when Eric left me. I still spend a lot of time sleeping by his grave. Mum is sure his passing is what triggered my ill health.
ReplyDeleteWe bet your mom is right, Flynn. We are sorry you miss Eric so much. How did you pull through your depression?
DeletePurrs to you Carmine, we sure do hope you're going to feel better soon....
ReplyDeleteWe are sending lots of purrs, Carmine, and we hope that you perk up soon.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you are up and around a bit more, Carmine. Sending extra purrs.....
ReplyDeleteCarmine I think you just like that cube - it's quiet, private and a spot you can think about Jewel. We know you miss her. Hope that soon you'll feel more like getting OUT of the cube and enjoying yourself again.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy
We hope you get to feeling better, Carmine! Sending lots of love, purrs, and prayers from all of us!
ReplyDeletePoor Carmine, I will keep praying for you.
ReplyDeleteCarmine, I hope you are going to perk up soon. Sending gentle purrs to you xox
ReplyDeleteWe are sending a lot of comforting purrs, too.
ReplyDeleteOur Groucho reacted strongly to losing his brofur, but he didn't linger in a nesting place, he paced and yowled...for weeks. He perked up with a new kitten to be a 'Granddaddy' to. Groucho was a senior kitty then.
We hope you start to feel better soon, Carmine.
Oh, Carmine, we hope that whatever is ailing you -- whether it be depression or your eyes -- gets better soon. WE will keep right on purring and praying, buddy.
ReplyDeleteCarmine, you do look terribly sad in this photo. Wish we could do something to cheer you up. Like others we are sending purrs and prayers. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
