Thank you to everyone who has left us purrs, prayers, hugs, love, and kind words. We have not gotten to hardly anyone to thank them individually, but know that if we haven't gotten to you yet, we will.
It's hard to believe that it's been three days since we los our sweet Jewel. I miss her more than I can ever express.
Carmine seems a little sad about it, but I don't think the reality of what's happened has quite hit him yet. He was checking all the cubes for Jewel for about a day or so. Now he's gone to spending a lot of time in the pink cube Jewel loved to spend time in. Poor baby.

ReplyDeleteI am sending lots of purrs your way. My human hasn't gotten to very many people who sent her condolences either. She says that Binga and Boodie barely noticed when Sparkle left - she thinks that maybe they knew and said their good-byes the day before.

ReplyDeleteWhen Nico was in the process of dying, Anya wouldn't leave his side; they were litter mates, and I know that Anya hasn't forgotten this. When Nico was euthanized, Anya kept looking everywhere for him and even in his favorite spots, she would cry for him endlessly. I felt terrible and I still do to this day.
ReplyDeletePlease take comfort in knowing that you definitely did the right thing for your Jewel, and that her and Nico are up in heaven together, running through the golden fields, and snuggling with each other. Nico sure has a lot of new friends to show her, and she's got a lot to meet and make! She's having a great time up there, but until then that you meet her once again, she will remain forever in the hearts who were lucky enough to meet such an awesome cat.

Yes, weez do gwieve da loss of furmily members, and weez so sowwy yous all had to go fwu this. It will get easier, not better but easier as time passes, cuz Jewel's not gone fwum yous hearts and memowies. As long as yous keep those Jewel will be wiff us furevew. :) Weez be purrayin' fur all of yous.

That is a pecious graphic. You will treasure having that to remember Jewel. Carmine reminds us of many of our kitties who have lain on the graves of those we have lost.
