Mancat Monday: Carmine Update



Carmine went to the vet last Wednesday.  He was due for his B12 injection, and we were concerned about how he might react to Jewel going OTRB.

Remember Carmine's last update where we were concerned Carmine might be beginning another weight loss tend?  Thankfully, he isn't.  He weighed in at 10 pounds even - his ideal weight.  Yay!!  We were all VERY happy about that, especially considering Jewel has just gone OTRB.  He continues to eat pretty well.  We've only had to give him one dose of appetite pill since Jewel left for the Bridge.

Since he maintained his weight for another month, the vet said we could lower Carmine's prednisone dose to 1/2 tab once a day! :)  If he continues to do well, we will lower it again.

I am so pleased that Carmine is doing so well.  He still spends a fair amount of time in the pink cube where Jewel spent a lot of time, but he has been more social the past few days, which I'm thankful for.  I'm sure he enjoys being in there so he can smell her.

I hope to get to visiting some blogs later.  My heart just hasn't been into blogging since Jewel left us.  But please know that we love and miss you all a lot.
