First, me wants to apologize for the Mom. Hers has not been helping us visit our friends much lately. We miss you all and hope to get around to see you all very soons!
This is an old picture of me because me would not let the Mom take any new ones today.
Me knows some of you already read the update about Jewel on the Mom's Facebook, so me apologizes that this is a repeat for some of yous. We wanted to make sure all of our readers know what is going on.
Jewel went to the stabby place on Thursday. Hers had to actually see the vet because hers had lost so much weight the week before.
The vet weighed hers, and hers lost 2.5 more ounces. Jewel is now at 9 pounds, 1 ounce. The Mom is nervous because hers wants Jewel to stay over 9 pounds, at least.
The vet took Jewel back to another room to give hers hers Adequan injection and to check hers blood pressure, the Mom says. The Mom thinks the Adequan is finally helping some. Jewel seems to be more social these days; hers doesn't always hide in the cube anymore. Sometimes hers lays in my pink bed instead!
This is an old picture of Jewel, too.
The Mom says the vet told hers Jewel's blood pressure is still too high. So now Jewel has to get one-half an Amlodipine in the morning and one quarter at night - hers was getting one quarter twice a day befores. Poor Jewel.....me sure glad me no has to get all those pills!!
The Mom says Jewel can see me and Lita again because hers eyes are all better - hers retinas are 100% attached again!
Please purr and pray for our Jewel. We needs hers blood pressure to get under control. The high blood pressure is causing (more) damage to hers kidneys.
We hope you all have a wonderful Monday!
Sending purrs and prayers for Jewel - may you feel much better soon!
