Happy Birthday, Jewel!

We are skipping Opt to Adopt today due to a very, very special event.  But please don't forget that June is Adopt a Shelter Cat month and Cat Care Society has many wonderful kitties looking for homes!  You can see all the adoptable kitties here.  We'll be back with Opt to Adopt next week.

Today is Jewel's 16th Birthday!!!!

I have to be honest - when Jewel was first diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) in November, 2012, I didn't think she would live to see her 15th birthday, let alone her 16th.  She is one heck of a strong kitty with such a love soul.  



We have some of Jewel's favorite things to celebrate.  Everyone is welcome to help themselves to whatever they like. :)


Hot dogs.  Don't worry, we won't make you eat any mustard or bread, but they are there if the humans want them.


And shrimp.



And please don't leave without a piece of catnip cake!


We've got lots of toys you can play with, and if you get sleepy, we have lots of comfy spots, beds, and cubes you can nap in.  The Mom will even sit on the floor for a kitty who wants the couch or her chair!  So, feel free to stay as long as you like and help sweet Jewel celebrate her special day!

    Happy belated birthday Jewel. We know you celebrated in your special way because well being Sweet 16 is super special. Your Mom may find it bittersweet but you tell her that everyday is a day to celebrate birthday or not. But we send you many mega hugs and hope we can do it again next year. Mom has a special Bridge day post for my Birthday on July 1st. It is her first without me and she wants to paw it forward so we hope you will stop by.
